Eduardo and Rosalba Dorantes Killed in Plainview Crash on West US Highway 70 and Sun Road

Plainview, Texas (June 11, 2019) – Two people were killed in a traffic accident on Monday afternoon near Plainview, according to the authorities.

The crash was reported just after 3 p.m. June 10, on West US Highway 70 and Sun Road.

Police said a car with three occupants crashed into a trailer that came off a truck.

The emergency crews used the Jaws of Life to extricate the three occupants from the car.

Two patients were airlifted to UMC Lubbock, where they were later pronounced deceased. The two victims were identified as Eduardo and Rosalba Dorantes.

The third patient was transported to Covenant Hospital Plainview with critical injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
