Firefighter Injured in Hit-and-Run at Pasadena Boulevard and Dewberry Lane in Pasadena

Firefighter Injured in Pasadena Pedestrian Accident at Pasadena Boulevard and Dewberry Lane

Pasadena, Texas (December 19, 2021) – A Pasadena firefighter was seriously injured Saturday night in a hit-and-run accident in Pasadena, according to the authorities.

The accident happened around 8:40 p.m., December 18, at the intersection of Pasadena Boulevard and Dewberry Lane.

Authorities said the firefighter was directing traffic at the intersection during the department’s annual Santa Project event when he was struck by an SUV.

The SUV tossed the firefighter about 30 feet.

The driver fled the scene after the accident.

The firefighter was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

During the Santa Project, the firefighters go around in their fire engines, passing out candy and spreading holiday cheer.

An investigation is underway.
