5 Hurt in Abilene Car Crash on Loop 322

Abilene, Texas (July 8, 2019) – Five people were injured in a wrong-way collision on Sunday evening in Abilene, according to the police.

The incident happened around 5:25 p.m. July 8, on Loop 322 near Highway 36.

Police said a blue Hyundai was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of Loop 322 when it collided with an SUV.

Emergency crews performed CPR on the driver of the SUV. The four occupants of the SUV, including two children, were taken to a hospital with critical injuries.

One person in the Hyundai was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
