Four Injured in Idalou Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 62 near CR 3600

Idalou, Texas (March 23, 2021) – Four people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday evening, east of Idalou, according to the DPS.

The crash happened around 6:30 p.m., March 22, on U.S. 62, near County Road 3600.

DPS said an SUV was traveling eastbound on the highway when the driver lost control due to the weather, crossed the median into the westbound lanes, and crashed into a truck.

The SUV driver was trapped and had to be extricated. Their condition was not disclosed.

Two other people in the SUV sustained incapacitating injuries in the crash.

The truck driver sustained minor injuries.

No other details were available.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
