Geary Noble Killed in Fiery Crash on SH 62 at Nan Drive in Orange County

Geary Noble Killed in Orange County Two-Vehicle Crash at State Highway 62 and Nan Drive

Orange County, Texas – One person was killed and another was injured Wednesday evening in a fiery two-vehicle crash in Orange County, according to the troopers.

The fatal crash happened around 6:00 p.m., December 13, at the intersection of State Highway 62 and Nan Drive.

Troopers said a Chevrolet Z71 pickup, towing a trailer, was traveling northbound on SH 62 and was being followed by a Chevrolet 2500 pickup.

The Chevrolet Z71 pickup slowed to make a left turn onto Nan Drive and was rear-ended by the Chevrolet 2500.

The Chevrolet 2500 caught fire after the crash.

The driver of the Chevrolet 2500, Geary Noble, 71, of Orange, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The 54-year-old driver of the Chevrolet Z71 was uninjured in the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
