Georgia Man Hit, Killed by Pickup Truck on I-40 in Potter County

Potter County, Texas – A Georgia man was fatally hit by a pickup truck Wednesday morning in Potter County, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident happened just before 6:00 a.m., April 24, on the northbound service road of Interstate 40 near Bushland, about nine miles west of Amarillo.

DPS said a 2007 Ford F250 was traveling eastbound on the service road when it struck the man who was walking eastbound in the eastbound lane.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was reportedly wearing black clothing at the time of the accident. His name has not been released.

The Texas Highway Patrol Troopers are investigating the crash.
