Gregory Loy Maze Killed in Orange County Motorcycle Crash on SH 12 near SH 62

Orange County, Texas (November 12, 2020) – A man was killed in a motorcycle crash Wednesday afternoon in Orange County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 3:00 p.m., November 11, on SH 12, just north of SH 62.

DPS said a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling eastbound on the highway while several other vehicles were stopped in the eastbound lane waiting for a vehicle to make a turn.

The motorcyclist failed to control his speed and rear-ended a 2012 Ford passenger vehicle.

The motorcyclist, Gregory Loy Maze, 63, of Seabrook, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Ford driver and her 5-year-old son were uninjured in the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
