Harley Stabler Killed in Motorcycle Accident on FM 1774 in Grimes County

Harley Stabler ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Grimes County Crash on FM 1774 near Texas 105 East

Grimes County, Texas (July 5, 2023) – The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the motorcyclist who died following a traffic collision on Tuesday afternoon in Grimes County as Harley Stabler, 25, of Iola.

The deadly crash happened at about 3:17 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, on FM 1774, about a half mile north of Texas 105 East.

DPS said Stabler was riding a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle northbound on FM 1774 when he drove on the wrong side of the road and hit the trailer of an 18-wheeler.

Stabler died at the scene.

The driver of the Peterbilt was not hurt.

The crash remains under investigation.
