Hastings High School Student Injured in Houston Pedestrian Accident on High Star Drive

Houston, Texas (October 24, 2019) – A Hastings High School student was critically injured in a pedestrian accident Wednesday afternoon in west Houston, according to officials.

 The accident occurred at about 2:40 p.m. on October 23, on High Star Drive near the west Houston school.

Officials said the student was crossing the street, after dismissal from the school, when he was hit by an Alief Independent School District employee.

The student was rushed to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in critical condition.

The employee is awaiting a vehicular assault charge.

An investigation is underway.
