Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on W. Fairmont Parkway in La Porte

One Killed in La Porte Pedestrian Accident on W. Fairmont Parkway

La Porte, Texas (January 7, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed Wednesday night in a hit-and-run accident in La Porte, according to deputies.

The deadly accident happened shortly before midnight, January 6, in the 10900 block of W. Fairmont Parkway.

Deputies said a Harris County Pct. 8 was driving on the roadway when they spotted a person lying on the side of the road.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators found car parts nearby. There are unconfirmed reports that the involved driver later showed up at a police station and said that they thought they had hit a deer.

The La Porte police are investigating the crash. Anyone with any information about the accident is asked to call police at 281-471-3811.
