Man Critically Injured in Truck Crash on Roosevelt Avenue in San Antonio

Man Critically Injured in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Roosevelt Avenue

San Antonio, Texas (December 16, 2020) – A man was critically injured early Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in San Antonio’s South Side, according to police.

The accident occurred around 1:00 a.m., on Roosevelt Avenue near Southwest Military Drive, just South of Loop 410.

Police said the man was driving his pickup truck at a high rate of speed when he crashed into the back corner of an 18-wheeler that was turning left onto Roosevelt Avenue.

The man was trapped in his vehicle and had to be extricated. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The 18-wheeler was carrying gasoline at the time of the crash. The driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash closed both sides of the road.

The police are investigating the crash.
