Emma Brooks Killed in Head-On Crash Involving 18-Wheeler on I-10 in Beaumont

Emma Brooks ID’d as Woman Killed in Beaumont Collision on Interstate 10 near Pine Street

Beaumont, Texas (April 12, 2022) – The woman who died Monday following a tragic accident in Beaumont has been identified as Emma T. Brooks, 67, of Louisiana.

The deadly crash involving an 18-Wheeler took place on Interstate 10 near the downtown Beaumont exit on Monday, April 11.

Beaumont Police said the 18-Wheeler crossed over the guardrail and went directly into the opposite lane, where it collided head-on with a black Escalade.

Brooks, who was the driver of the Escalade, died in the crash while the operator of the 18-wheeler was transported to a hospital and is expected to be okay.

The westbound lanes of Interstate 10 were temporarily blocked following the incident.

No other details were given.

An investigation is ongoing.
