One Killed, One Injured in Austin Crash at FM 1100 and U.S 290

Austin, Texas (October 16, 2022) – One person was killed in a crash involving an 18-wheeler in Austin on Saturday night, according to a local news source.

The deadly crash occurred shortly before midnight Saturday, October 15 near the intersection of FM 1100 and U.S 290.

Three vehicles, including an 18-wheeler, were involved in the crash. One person was trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated by firefighters.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The second adult victim was airlifted to Dell Seton with potentially serious injuries.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
