Galen Davis, Steven Clark, Cara Clark and 6-Year-Old Injured in Homer Three-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 69 near Loop 287

Homer, Texas (December 6, 2021) – Four people were injured Saturday night in a three-vehicle crash near Homer, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The crash happened around 8:38 p.m., December 4, on U.S. Highway 69 near Loop 287.

DPS said a 2013 Ford pickup towing a trailer with a boat and a 2002 BMW passenger car were traveling northbound on the highway.

The BMW failed to control its speed and struck the trailer. It then crossed into the opposite lane and hit a 2020 Ford SUV.

The BMW driver, Galen Davis, 35, of Lufkin, was taken to St. Luke’s Health-Memorial. 

The SUV driver, Steven Clark, 56, and passenger, Cara Clark, 51, of Lufkin, were taken to Woodland Heights Medical Center. A 6-year-old was also taken to Woodland Heights Medical Center.

The Ford driver was uninjured in the crash.
