3 Injured in Chase Crash on Loop 20 in Laredo

Three Injured in Laredo Two-Vehicle Crash on Loop 20

Laredo, Texas (August 14, 2022) – According to the Texas DPS, three people were injured Saturday morning after a chase ended in a crash in Laredo.

The crash happened on Loop 20, just north of Bob Bullock Loop and Lakeview.

DPS said at around 7:28 a.m., troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a red Ford Expedition on McPherson Road near Dunkin Donuts, but the driver failed to stop and was pursued by the authorities.

The Ford crossed onto the wrong side of the roadway while traveling southbound on Loop 20 and crashed into a tan Chevrolet Tahoe.

The Ford driver, a 25-year-old man, was taken to LMC in serious condition. He had active warrants out of Webb County.

A 44-year-old woman in the Tahoe was taken to LMC in serious condition, and a 64-year-old was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
