Haven Sandoval ID’d as Boy Killed in Bishop Crash on FM 70 near County Road 73
Bishop, Texas (May 26, 2019) – Authorities have identified Haven Sandoval, 2 of Kingsville as the boy who was killed late Friday night in a head-on crash near Bishop.
The deadly crash happened at about 11:15 p.m. Friday, May 24 on FM 70 near County Road 73.
According to a Texas Department of Public Safety report, a 2008 Ford Fusion was heading westbound on FM 70 when for an undetermined reason, it veered into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with an eastbound Mercedes-Benz.
Sandoval and a teen, identified as Mario Alberto Benevidez, 18, of Kingsville, were occupants of the Fusion and both died in the crash.
Two other people were airlifted to Christus Spohn Shoreline with unknown injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
