Holly Lewis Killed in Smith County Two-Vehicle Crash on Spur 364

Smith County, Texas (August 23, 2021) – One person was killed two others were critically injured Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Smith County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 1:10 p.m., August 22, on Spur 364, just west of Tyler.

DPS said a pickup truck was traveling westbound when it crossed into the eastbound lane and crashed into an eastbound car.

The car driver, Holly Lewis, 48, of Brownsboro, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, a 17-year-old girl, was taken to a Tyler hospital in critical condition.

The pickup driver, Jeffery Harmon, 19, of Tyler, was taken to a Tyler hospital in critical condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
