Humberto Ramos ID’d as Man Injured in Dallas County Train Accident on Lavender Road near Millers Ferry Road
Dallas County, Texas (July 3, 2022) – The man was who injured after a train struck a truck mid last month in Dallas County has been identified by authorities as Humberto Ramos, 29.
The crash occurred at about 10:20 a.m. on June 17 on Lavender Road near Millers Ferry Road.
Authorities said Ramos was driving a Peterbilt semi-truck hauling a trailer eastbound on Lavender Road when a Union Pacific train traveling southbound crashed into the truck on the driver’s side.
Ramos told the authorities that he didn’t notice the train approaching on tracks across Lavender Road until he was too close to stop. He attempted to speed through the crossing but collided with the train.
The impact of the collision caused Ramos to be ejected from the truck. He sustained major injuries in the crash.
No other details about the crash were immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
