1 Killed, 4 Injured in Rollover Crash on I-35 in Austin

One Killed and Four Injured in Austin Four-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35 

Austin, Texas (April 24, 2021) – One person was killed, and four others were injured in a rollover crash early Saturday morning in central Austin, according to the authorities.

The deadly crash occurred around 1:55 a.m. on Interstate 35.

Authorities said four vehicles were involved in the crash, and one of them rolled over after the collision, ejecting an unknown number of people.

Five people were injured in the crash. Three of them were taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries, where one of them later died.

The other two people were taken to Dell Seton with serious injuries.

Three other people who were involved in the crash declined transport to the hospital.

The crash closed the northbound lanes of the interstate, and traffic was diverted off exit 237B. The southbound lanes were closed but have since been reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.
