Hunter Creel Killed, Leteddrick Mathis Injured in Crash on FM 563 near Wallisville

Hunter Creel Killed and Leteddrick Mathis Injured in Wallisville Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 563

Wallisville, Texas (September 6, 2023) – One person was killed and another was injured Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash near Wallisville, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 5:00 a.m., September 5, on Farm-to-Market Road 563.

DPS said a 2019 Dodge Ram pickup was traveling southbound while a 2020 Kia Rio passenger car was traveling northbound.

The Dodge traveled into the northbound lane and struck the Kia.

The Dodge driver, 30-year-old Leteddrick Mathis of Somerville, was transported to Memorial Hermann for treatment.

The Kia driver, 21-year-old Hunter Ethan Creel of Hardin, was transported to Memorial Hermann, where he later died.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
