Jason Manzi Killed, Kenneth Love Injured in NE Harris County Motorcycle Crash on FM 2100

Harris County, Texas (August 29, 2022) – One person was killed, and another was injured Saturday evening in a motorcycle crash in northeast Harris County, according to the deputies.

The fatal crash happened around 6:00 p.m., August 27, in the 24500 block of FM 2100.

Deputies said three Harley Davidson motorcyclists, Robert Kauffman, Kenneth Love, and Jason Manzi, were stopped along the highway, waiting for traffic to clear, and were attempting to turn into a driveway.

A Jeep Wrangler driven by a juvenile was traveling northbound when she failed to control her speed and rear-ended Manzi’s motorcycle.

The impact ejected Manzi off his motorcycle and was hit by a passing Honda Accord.

Manzi’s bike continued traveling forward without him and went on to hit the rear of Love’s bike.

Love’s bike then hit Kauffman’s motorcycle.

Manzi was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Love was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The three motorcyclists were wearing their helmets at the time of the crash.

Intoxication was not a factor in the crash.

The deputies are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
