Alisa Gillespie, Charles Foster and Myoshi Foster Injured in Buna Two-Vehicle Crash at Highway 96 and Business Highway 96

Buna, Texas (August 13, 2023) – Three people were injured Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash just south of Buna, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened around 10:00 a.m., August 12, at the intersection of Highway 96 and Business Highway 96.

DPS said a 2022 Jeep Cherokee was traveling northbound on Highway 96 while a 2021 Volkswagen passenger car was on Business Highway 96 at the stop sign. The Volkswagen driver pulled out in front of the Jeep, resulting in a collision.

The Volkswagen driver, Alisa Gillespie, 53, of Buna, the Jeep driver, Charles Foster, 52, of Bon Wier, and a passenger in the Jeep, Myoshi Foster, 54, of Bon Wier, were taken to St Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont for treatment.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
