Man Injured in South Austin Pedestrian Crash at East Stassney Lane and South Congress Avenue
Austin, Texas (July 26, 2019) – A man was hospitalized with major injuries after being hit by a vehicle at an intersection in South Austin on Thursday night, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.
The crash occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. July 26, at East Stassney Lane and South Congress Avenue.
EMS said a man in his 50s was riding in a wheelchair when he was hit by a vehicle at the intersection.
The victim was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. His identity was not immediately released.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
