Dejia Baxton Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on West 610 Loop

Houston, Texas (June 12, 2020) – A woman who was fleeing her pimp was fatally hit by a vehicle Sunday morning in Houston, according to authorities.

The deadly accident happened around 3:20 a.m. June 7, on the West 610 Loop.

Police said Deandros Finks, 29, brought 23-year-old Dejia Baxton to Houston from Las Vegas.

Baxton was running with a suitcase fleeing from Finks, who was chasing her when she was struck by a vehicle on the highway.

Baxton was declared dead at the scene.

The involved driver stayed at the scene after the accident.

Finks has been charged with Baxton’s death and for the promotion of prostitution.

The police are investigating the incident.
