Jason Medford Killed in Lubbock County Motorcycle Crash on FM 40 near CR 2900

Lubbock County, Texas (April 12, 2023) – A motorcyclist was killed Monday evening in a crash in Lubbock County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The deadly crash happened just after 7:00 p.m., April 10, on East FM 40 near CR 2900.

DPS said a motorcycle was traveling westbound behind a pickup truck. The pickup truck driver tried to make a U-turn and crashed into the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, Jason Clearence Medford, 40, was taken to University Medical Center, where he later died. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The pickup truck, Daniel Jimenez-Cisneros, was uninjured in the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
