Jeffrey Burton Seriously Injured in Grayson County Two-Vehicle Crash on US 69 near Shaffer Road

Grayson County, Texas (December 26, 2022) – A person was seriously injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Grayson County, according to the troopers.

The crash happened around 3:00 p.m., December 22, on US-69 near Shaffer Road.

Troopers said a Ford van was traveling northbound, and a Chevrolet SUV was traveling southbound on the highway.

The Ford crossed the center of the roadway and struck the Chevy.

The Chevy driver, 61-year-old Jeffrey Burton of Farmersville, was taken to Texoma Medical Center with serious injuries.

The Ford driver, 31-year-old Samuel Mozo of Denison, was also taken to Texoma Medical Center with minor injuries. He was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and DWI.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
