Pedestrian Killed in Crash on SH 71 in Del Valle

One Killed in Del Valle Pedestrian Accident on State Highway 71

Del Valle, Texas (September 13, 2023) – One person was killed last Wednesday in a pedestrian accident in Del Valle, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened just before 9:15 p.m., September 6, in the 3100 block of East State Highway 71.

Police said a pedestrian was struck by an SUV in the westbound lanes of the highway.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The SUV driver remained at the scene and was later taken to the hospital to be evaluated for possible injuries. They were not impaired and cooperated with the investigators.
