Jeremie Doucet Arrested For DUI Car Crash near 290 and FM 1960 in Harris County

Jeremie Doucet Arrested after Harris County Crash on 290 and FM 1960
Harris County, Texas (March 4, 2019) – The suspected drunk driver who caused a traffic accident that left several people injured Saturday morning in Harris County has been arrested, police said.
According to a report by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 2 on Highway 290 and FM 1960.
Authorities said Jeremie Doucet, 32, was driving a Mercedes SUV at a high rate of speed down a hill on FM 1960 when he slammed into the rear of a Ford Expedition occupied by two women believed to be a mother and daughter who were stopped at a traffic light at the intersection.
The force of the impact caused the SUV to careen toward several other vehicles while Doucet’s Mercedes Benz rolled over several times.
Both women in the SUV sustained critical injuries. A woman in her 20s had to be resuscitated several times and her mother was taken to the hospital with severe injuries that included blunt force trauma to the neck
Two other people sustained non-life threatening injuries in the wreck.
Doucet tried to flee the scene but was caught in the parking lot of a Texas Roadhouse. He was arrested and charged with two counts of intoxication assault.
As per the report, Doucet was released from custody after posting a $5,000 for the charges. An investigation into the crash is underway.
