Charles Turner ID’d as Elderly Rider Killed in Fort Bend Bicycle Crash on SH 36 near FM 1462

Fort Bend, Texas (April 22, 2019) – The bicycle rider who was killed in a collision involving a vehicle in Fort Bend County Sunday afternoon has been identified as Charles Raymond Turner, 80, according to the authorities
The deadly crash took place in the 20500 block of SH 36, just north of 1462 around 1:45 p.m. on Sunday, April 21.
Authorities said Turner was struck by an SUV as he was trying to make a U-turn in the roadway.
Turner was wearing a helmet and he was pronounced deceased the scene.
The driver of the SUV, who was not injured in the crash, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
The deputies are investigating the collision.
