Lora Cahill Injured in Fatal Crash on State Highway 114 in Wise County
Lora Cahill ID’d as Person Injured in Wise County Collision on State Highway 114 at County Road 4489
Wise County, Texas (July 5, 2022) – Lora L. Cahill, 52, of, Boyd, has been identified as the person who was injured after she was involved in a deadly traffic collision Sunday evening in Wise County.
The crash happened at around 5:15 p. m. Sunday, July 3, on State Highway 114 at County Road 4489.
Jerry G. Baker Jr., 32, of Boyd, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet pickup through the intersection and had stopped on State Highway 114 when he allegedly failed to yield the right-of-way to a 2007 Ford pickup that was traveling on State Highway 114.
Both vehicles ultimately collided.
Cahill, who was a passenger in the Chevrolet, was taken to JPS Hospital in Fort Worth in unknown condition. Baker was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford, identified as Johnathan M. Irby, 38, of Springtown, was unhurt.
Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
