5 Injured After Car Crashes into Stella Southern Cafe on Highway 6 in College Station

College Station, Texas – Five people were injured Wednesday morning after a car crashed into a restaurant in College Station, according to a local news source.

The crash occurred just after 11:00 a.m., April 10, at the Stella Southern Cafe along the feeder road of Highway 6.

According to the report, witnesses said the driver of an SUV was in a handicapped spot in the parking lot when it jumped the curb, struck the sign, and then drove into the area of the restaurant where customers were dining.

Five people, including the SUV driver, were taken to the hospital for treatment. One of the victims had serious injuries while the others had non-life-threatening injuries.

The authorities are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
