One Killed in Waskom Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20

Waskom, Texas (June 5, 2022) – One person was killed, and another was critically injured early Sunday morning in a multi-vehicle crash near Waskom, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash was reported just after midnight on eastbound Interstate 20 between mile markers 634 and 635.

Authorities said two multi-car crashes happened on the eastbound side of the interstate.

One person was killed in the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released.

One person was airlifted to LSU in critical condition.

Other patients were taken to LSU and Christus Good Shepherd Marshall.

Several other victims were transported by privately operated vehicles.

No other details regarding the crash were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
