Several Injured in Abilene Multi-Vehicle Crash on N 1st Street at Shelton Street

Abilene, Texas (October 5, 2020) – Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash during Cruise Night in Abilene, according to police.

The crash happened at the intersection of N 1st Street and Shelton Street.

Police said a red pickup truck was heading westbound on N 1st Street when the driver tried to beat the red light but lost control at the intersection and hit several other vehicles.

The impact caused the left rear tire of the truck to come off.

Several people sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
