Lauren Terese Steptoe Killed in Head-On Crash on FM 2234 in Fort Bend County

Lauren Terese Steptoe ID’d as Woman Killed in Fort Bend County Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 2234 near FM 521

Fort Bend County, Texas (February 7, 2020) – The woman who was killed in a head-on collision Thursday night in Fresno has been identified as Lauren Terese Steptoe, according to the deputies.

The fatal crash happened around 8:20 p.m. February 6, on FM 2234 near FM 521.

Deputies said Steptoe was driving eastbound on FM 2234 when she drifted into the westbound lanes and crashed head-on into an oncoming vehicle.

Steptoe was pronounced dead at the scene. Her 9-year-old daughter, who was in the back seat, was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.

The driver of the other car was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
