Mont Belvieu Woman Laura Grant Killed in Baytown Boating Accident

Baytown, Texas (June 25, 2019) – Mont Belvieu woman Laura Grant, 36, was among three people killed Sunday evening in a two-boat collision near Baytown, according to the authorities.

The wreck took place on Sunday, June 23, near the Hugo Park Road boat ramp in the Old and Lost River and Cross Bayou area.

According to a preliminary investigation, a large wake boat type vessel hit a bass boat. Both boats were carrying a total of 10 people.

Grant and two other people riding on the bass boat were killed in the collision.

Eight other people were injured in the collision. Two of them were flown to a hospital with injuries ranging from critical to non-life threatening.

An investigation is ongoing.
