Bicyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run on Saunders Avenue in San Antonio

Man Killed in San Antonio Bicycle Accident on Saunders Avenue near South Rosillo Street

San Antonio, Texas (July 8, 2022) – A bicyclist was killed Thursday night in a hit-and-run accident in San Antonio’s West Side, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 10:00 p.m., July 7, on Saunders Avenue near South Rosillo Street.

Police said the man was riding his bicycle on Saunders Avenue when a truck or sport utility vehicle ran a stop sign and hit him.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

The victim was taken to University Hospital where he later died. His name has not been released.

When found, the driver may face a charge of failure to stop and render aid resulting in death.

The police are investigating the crash.
