Woman Killed in Corpus Christi Car Crash on SPID

Corpus Christi, Texas (February 24, 2019) – A woman was killed in a multi-vehicle accident in Corpus Christi on Saturday night, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department.
The crash was reported at about 8:49 p.m. February 23 on the westbound side of SPID.
Police said three vehicles were involved.
A woman in her 60s, who was driving one of the vehicles involved, was pronounced dead at the scene. It’s unclear whether there were other injuries.
Police said alcohol was not a factor in the crash but suspect that speed may have played a role.
The crash caused a closure of the entrance ramps of the SPID at Everhart and Weber.
The Corpus Christi Police Department is investigating the incident.
