Carson County, Texas (March 7, 2022) – Three people were killed on Sunday in a two-vehicle crash in Carson County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 12:00 p.m., on March 6, on Interstate 40 near FM 288, about eight miles east of Conway.

DPS said a truck tractor towing a semi-trailer was traveling westbound on the interstate and was slowing down due to another crash further down the road.

Another vehicle, which was traveling behind the truck tractor, failed to control its speed and rear-ended the semi-trailer.

The driver of the vehicle, Jeremy Lewis, 43, and his two passengers, Benjamin Lewis, 18, and a 12-year-old, were pronounced dead at the scene. All three victims were from Shamrock.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
