Jonathan Reid Killed, Carl Reid Jr. Injured in Polk County Crash on U.S. 190 

Polk County, Texas (November 11, 2019) – One person was killed, and another was injured after they were hit by a truck Sunday morning in Polk County, a local news source reported.

The deadly accident happened at about 8:40 a.m. November 10, on U.S. 190 near Onalaska.

DPS said Karl Fink, 22, was driving a GMC pickup truck westbound on U.S. 190 when he drove onto the shoulder and hit a disabled Ford pickup.

The force of the impact caused the Ford to hit Jonathan Reid, 35, and 65-year-old Carl Reid Jr., who were working on the truck.

Jonathan was pronounced dead at the scene.

Carl was taken to CHI St. Luke’s Hospital in an unknown condition.

An investigation is underway.
