Joseph Boehm Killed, Harold Johnson and Faith Warren Injured in Car Crash on FM 757 in Smith County

Joseph Boehm Killed, Harold Johnson and Faith Warren Injured in Smith County Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 757 at FM 2767

Smith County, Texas – One person was killed and two others were injured Saturday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Smith County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 6:50 p.m., February 17, at the intersection of FM 757 and FM 2767 (Old Kilgore Highway).

DPS said Joseph Boehm, 29, of Tyler, was driving northbound on FM 757 when he disregarded the stop sign at the intersection, causing a second vehicle to hit his SUV.

Boehm was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a firefighter at the Winona Volunteer Fire Department. 

The driver of the second vehicle, Harold Johnson, 39, of Winona, was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash. Johnson and a passenger in the vehicle, Faith Warren, 37, of Flint, were taken to a local hospital with non-incapacitating injuries. Warren was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The weather conditions were clear and dry at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
