Joseph Bredemeyer Killed in Westphalia Pedestrian Accident on State Highway 320 near CR 3000

Westphalia, Texas (July 15, 2023) – A man was killed early Thursday morning in a pedestrian accident in Westphalia, according to the DPS.

The deadly accident happened around 5:30 a.m., July 13, on State Highway 320, near County Road 3000.

DPS said 52-year-old Joseph Edward Bredemeyer, of Abilene, was in the roadway when he was struck by a southbound Hyundai passenger car.

Bredemeyer was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other details were provided.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
