61-Year-Old Julie Minchey Killed in El Paso Pedestrian Accident at Bob Hope and Pellicano

El Paso, Texas (February 2, 2020) – A 61-year-old woman was fatally hit by an industrial pickup truck Wednesday night in east El Paso, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 10:00 p.m. on January 29, in the area of Pellicano and Bob Hope.

According to investigators, Julie Minchey of El Paso was walking in a crosswalk at the intersection when she was hit by a turning white Ford F-250 truck.

A witness said the pickup had a logo on the door for a local mechanical firm and carried ladders and other work materials.

Minchey was rushed to the hospital, where she later died.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
