Karen Longoria Killed in Longview Pedestrian Accident on Cotton Street

Longview, Texas (October 6, 2022) – A person in a wheelchair was fatally hit by a car early Tuesday morning in Longview, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 4:49 a.m., October 4, in the 2400 block of E. Cotton Street.

Police said Karen Longoria of Longview was on a motorized scooter and was heading westbound on the street when she failed to yield the right of way and was struck by a westbound vehicle.

Longoria was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to speak with the officers.

The police are investigating the crash.
