Kayla Vercher Injured in Lufkin Pedestrian Accident on South John Redditt Drive

Lufkin, Texas (March 13, 2021) – The woman who was injured Thursday morning in a pedestrian accident in Lufkin has been identified as Kayla Vercher, 60, of Camden, Arkansas, according to police.

The accident occurred around 6:30 a.m., March 11, in the 500 block of South John Redditt Drive.

Police said Vercher had just been discharged from Woodland Heights Medical Center and walking across the street to McDonald’s when she was struck by a northbound pickup truck.

Vercher was taken to a local hospital and was later airlifted to a Tyler hospital in an unknown condition. 

The police are investigating the crash.
