Kristina McCrary, Rylee Ramos, and Reece Ramos Killed in Rankin Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 349

Rankin, Texas (October 6, 2020) – Four people were killed in a head-on collision Saturday evening, 15 miles north of Rankin, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened on October 3, on Highway 349.

DPS said Fabian Esquivel, 28, of Midland, was driving on the highway when he crossed the center stripe and crashed head-on into a vehicle driven by Kristina McCrary, 30.

McCrary and her two daughters, Rylee Ramos, 9, and Reece Ramos, 4, were killed in the crash.

Rylee and Reece were both students with Rankin ISD.

A fundraiser has been started to help pay for the family’s funeral expenses.

Fabian, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was also killed in the crash. 

Yamilette Esquivel, 4, of Midland was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
