Ector County, Texas – Four people were killed Saturday afternoon in a wrong-way crash in Ector County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash occurred around 2:45 p.m., April 20, at the intersection of 42nd Street and FM 1936.

DPS said 19-year-old Leo Sandoval, of Clint, was driving a Dodge Ram 1500 westbound in the eastbound lane of 42nd Street when he crashed head-on into a Chevrolet Silverado driven by 46-year-old Hector Manuel Martinez-Olivas from Odessa. Martinez-Olivas, a radio DJ for Q-108, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in the Chevrolet, Norma Estela Marquez-Gonzales, 45, and a 14-year-old boy were also pronounced dead at the scene.

Sandoval was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

The crash remains under investigation.
