Lathan Fink Killed in Terrell Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 34
Terrell, Texas (August 19, 2019) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon north of Terrell, according to the DPS.
The fatal crash occurred on Wednesday, August 14, on State Highway 34.
DPS said a Chevy Silverado and a Toyota Corolla were heading northbound on the highway when the Silverado slowed to make a left turn and was rear-ended by the Corolla.
The impact sent the Silverado off the highway and into a tree.
The Silverado driver, 23-year-old Lathan Fink of Terrell, Texas, was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead.
Fink was a U4/U6 PeeWee soccer coach with the Terrell Soccer Association. A GoFundMe account has been established to assist his wife with funeral costs, medical bills, and to ease the burden of a recent new-home purchase.
The crash remains under investigation.
