Lorenzo Claudio Injured in Potter County Two-Vehicle Crash on US Highway 60

Potter County, Texas – A woman was killed and a man was injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Potter County, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 6:00 a.m., January 22, on US 60, near Highland Park High School.

DPS said a 1991 Dodge Ram pickup truck was heading westbound on the highway when it veered across the center median and hit the trailer of an eastbound semi-truck.

The pickup truck driver was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene. She has been identified as 22-year-old Cassiopeia Hormann-Wolfe, of Amarillo. She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The semi-truck turned over after the collision. The driver, Lorenzo Claudio, 50, of Hereford, was treated at the scene for minor injuries. He was also wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
