Dumas Woman Luz Lopez Killed in Moore County Crash on FM 119 and FM 2203

Moore County, Texas (May 6, 2019) – A 24-year-old Dumas woman was killed in a multi-vehicle collision at an intersection near Dumas in Moore County Friday afternoon.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the wreck happened at about 1:40 p.m. Friday, April 3, at the intersection of FM 119 and FM 2203.
The report showed that 24-year-old Luz Lopez of Dumas was stopped in a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado facing northbound on FM 2203 at the intersection of FM 119 when she failed yield and was struck by a 2008 Mack Conventional truck tractor traveling east on FM 119.
A westbound Ford Explorer was also sideswiped by the two trucks.
Lopez sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the site of the crash.
No other injuries were reported.
The wreck is under investigation.
