51-Year-Old Local Man Dies in Sulphur Springs Pedestrian Accident on South Locust Street
Sulphur Springs, Texas (May 12, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a train Friday evening in Sulphur Springs, according to a local news report.
The deadly pedestrian took place just after 5:14 p.m. Friday, May 10 on South Locust Street.
As per the report, a 51-year-old local man was pushing a bicycle northbound on South Locust Street when he was hit by a train, which was heading eastbound across the roadway.
The man, who has not been identified pending notification of family, was taken to CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
